What difference could a brand-new website make to your business?
Perhaps you’ve been running your business through Facebook or Instagram because a professional website has always seemed like an expense you could put off until later. Maybe you already have a website, but it was built years ago and no longer represents the business you’ve become. Or perhaps you have big ideas for your business but your online presence hasn’t quite caught up yet.
If any of that sounds familiar, our Website Giveaway South Africa 2026 could be for you.
To celebrate the launch of our own brand-new BIOS BOIS website, we’re turning the celebration into an opportunity for other South African businesses.
We built ourselves a new website. Now we would like to build yours!
What is the BIOS BOIS Website Giveaway?
BIOS BOIS intends to select at least one suitable South African business during October, November and December 2026 to receive a custom-designed website or a redesign of an existing website.
And depending on the size of the selected projects and our available capacity, we may even select additional businesses along the way.
Each standard website prize can include:
- A custom-designed business website or redesign of an existing site
- Up to 10 standard informational pages
- Responsive design for desktop and mobile
- Six months of 1GB BIOS BOIS website hosting at no charge
Entries opened on 15 September 2026 and close on 15 December 2026 at 23:59 South African Standard Time.
And there’s an advantage to entering early: eligible entries that haven’t already been selected remain in consideration for subsequent selections. So if you enter in September or October and aren’t selected immediately, your entry could still be considered later.
Is there a catch?
No. There is no entry fee and no purchase is required to enter.
You don’t need to buy a BIOS BOIS service first. You don’t have to pay us an entry fee. And if you’re selected for one of the standard website prizes, we’re not going to suddenly hand you an invoice for the website we’ve just told you that you’ve won.
The website design or redesign included within the agreed prize scope is provided at no charge, together with the included six-month hosting period.
There are, however, sensible limits to what the prize includes.
For example, domain registration or renewal costs, paid third-party software or services, specialist functionality and additional work outside the agreed prize scope aren’t automatically included. If your project needs something outside the standard prize, we’ll discuss it with you rather than simply adding unexpected charges.

Do I have to keep hosting my website with BIOS BOIS?
No.
The prize includes six months of 1GB BIOS BOIS hosting at no charge. Once that period ends, you’ll have the option to continue hosting with us, with hosting currently available from R99 per month.
We would, of course, love for you to stay!
But there is no automatic paid subscription at the end of your free hosting period, and declining or discontinuing BIOS BOIS hosting doesn’t turn the prize into a cash payment or credit.
There are some technical considerations if a website is moved elsewhere, particularly where software licensed by BIOS BOIS has been used to build or maintain it. These are explained properly in the Giveaway Terms & Conditions.
Who should enter the Website Giveaway?
This is where we’d encourage you not to rule yourself out too quickly.
You don’t need to decide whether your business is “small enough”, important enough or interesting enough.
Tell us about it and let us decide.
We’d particularly like to hear from businesses that could genuinely benefit from a better online presence.
Maybe you’re running a business successfully through social media but don’t yet have a proper website.
Perhaps you’ve had the same website for ten years and you’re embarrassed to send customers there.
Maybe you’ve started something new and need somewhere professional to explain what you do.
You could have a perfectly good business with a website that simply doesn’t work properly on mobile devices anymore.
Or perhaps your business has evolved so much that your existing website no longer reflects what you actually offer.
Those are exactly the kinds of stories we’re interested in hearing.
What kind of business are we looking for?
There isn’t one particular industry we’re trying to find.
We aren’t looking for the business with the biggest social-media following, and this isn’t a popularity contest.
When reviewing entries, we’ll consider factors including genuine need, the potential positive impact a new or redesigned website could have, the story and circumstances provided in the application, and whether the proposed project is reasonably suitable for the scope of the Giveaway.
That last part is important.
We’re giving away business websites, but that doesn’t mean every conceivable web-development project will fit within the prize.
A straightforward company website with information about the business, services, photographs, contact information and other standard pages is very different from building a huge e-commerce platform or a highly specialised custom application.
If you’re uncertain whether your website idea fits, you can still enter. Tell us what you need in your application and we’ll assess it.
What if I already have a website?
Absolutely enter.
This isn’t only a giveaway for businesses that have never had a website.
A website redesign or revamp can be the prize too.
If your current website looks dated, doesn’t work well on phones, is difficult to navigate, no longer contains the right information or simply doesn’t represent your business anymore, tell us about it.
There’s a place on the entry form for your existing website and social-media links, where applicable. This allows us to see what you currently have and better understand what a redesign could potentially do for you.
You don’t need thousands of followers to win
This was important to us when planning the Giveaway.
We’re choosing the businesses — social media isn’t choosing them for us.
You aren’t going to win simply because 500 friends shared your entry, and you aren’t going to lose because your Facebook page only has 50 followers.
We want to read your story and understand your business.
Of course, we’d love entrants and supporters to share the Giveaway. You may know another business owner who desperately needs a website but would never think to enter themselves.
You can send them the Giveaway, tag them or encourage them to enter.
But popularity isn’t one of our judging criteria.
Why is BIOS BOIS giving websites away?
There are two sides to this.
First, we’ve just launched our own new BIOS BOIS website, and we wanted to do something more interesting to celebrate than simply announce:
“Hey, we have a new website!”
We’d rather use the occasion to do something that could make a genuine difference to another business.
A website can be a substantial investment, particularly for a growing business where there are always competing expenses demanding attention.
If our time and skills can help a few deserving businesses improve the way they present themselves online, we’d like to do that.
But we’ll also be completely transparent: it’s good for BIOS BOIS too.
Website design is part of what we do. The winning projects give us an opportunity to create new work we’re proud to showcase, introduce more people to BIOS BOIS and, hopefully, build lasting relationships with businesses that may choose to continue hosting or working with us in future.
We don’t think generosity and good business have to be mutually exclusive.
The businesses get an opportunity to improve their online presence without paying for the standard website prize, and we get an opportunity to demonstrate what we can do.
That sounds like a pretty good exchange to us.
What will we ask you on the entry form?
We want to know more than your name and telephone number.
We’ll ask you about your business, what you do, your current website or social-media presence where applicable, what you’d like from a new website or redesign, and why you believe it could benefit your business.
Don’t worry about trying to write the “perfect” answer.
We’re not looking for the saddest story, the fanciest writing or the person who tells us what they think we want to hear.
Tell us about your business. Tell us where you are now. Tell us where you’d like to go.
That’s much more useful to us.
